Pułk dragonów Almansa / Dragoon regiment Almansa

Na początku wojny półwyspowej kawaleria hiszpańska dzieliła się na pułki kawalerii liniowej, dragonów oraz po dwa pułki strzelców konnych i huzarów. Kolorystykę cięższych pułków podaję poniżej:

At the beginning of the Peninsular War, the Spanish cavalry was divided into line cavalry regiments, dragoons, and two regiments of horse chasseurs and two regiments of hussars. Below I present the colors of the heavier regiments:

Gwoli bycia precyzyjnym istniał jeszcze poza wymienionymi pułk karabinierów.

To be precise: beyond the above-mentioned existed also regiment of carabiniers.

Perry Miniatures wypuściło śliczny zestaw kawalerii hiszpańskiej. Do wyboru są pozy koni stojące lub w galopie.

Zdecydowałem się ich wykonać w barwach pułku dragonów Almansa.

Perry Miniatures has released a lovely set of Spanish cavalry. You can choose standing or galloping horse poses.
I decided to perform them in the colors of the Almansa Dragoon Regiment.

Na początek wymieniłem klingi pałaszy na plastikowe, gdyż takie nie wyginają się.
At the beginning I exchanged sword blades for plastic, because they do not bend.

Wstępnie ustawiłem.
I pre-set.

 

Potem położyłem biały podkład - inny niż jasny nie nadawał się ze względu na malowanie kolorem żółtym.

Then I put a white primer - other than light primer was not suitable because of painting in yellow.

  

Pomalowałem. 

I painted.

  

  

Wymodelowałem podstawki. 

I modeled the bases.

  

Zrobiłem pamiątkowe foty.

Brytyjski 18 pułk huzarów / 18th Royal Hussars (Queen Mary's Own)

Na półwyspie iberyjskim w akcjach bojowych uczestniczyły trzy pułki huzarów brytyjskich: 7, 10 i 18. Nie wliczam tu świetnych huzarów Królewskiego Legionu Niemieckiego.

Huzarzy brytyjscy bili się pod Benavente i Sahagun oraz La Coruną. Powrócili na półwysep dopiero w połowie 1813 roku, niektórzy zdążyli uczestniczyć w bitwie pod Vitorią. Walczyli w kampanii w południowej Francji, a następnie w kampanii belgijskiej.

Kolorystycznie najbardziej podoba mi się pułk 18, ale pod tym względem chyba jest najmniej "brytyjski" z nich (najmniej koloru czerwonego). Wykonałem go już wcześniej, w skali 20mm.

Zestaw Perry Miniatures umożliwia wykonanie huzarów w różnych okresach wojen napoleońskich, różnicę w tych wersjach stanowi nakrycie głowy. Zdecydowałem się wykonać huzarów z lat 1808-9, w imponująco wysokich bermycach, notabene faktycznie przeszkadzających swymi gabarytami w jeździe konnej.

Dodatkowo ułożyłem im ręce trzymające szable w niekoniecznie regulaminowych pozach.

On the Iberian Peninsula, three British hussar regiments participated in combat operations: 7th, 10th and 18th. I do not count here the great hussars of the King's German Legion.
British hussars fought at Benavente, Sahagun and La Coruna. They returned to the peninsula only in mid-1813, some of them managed to participate in the Battle of Vitoria. They fought in the campaign in southern France, and then in the Belgian campaign.
The color I like the 18th regiment the most, but in this respect it is probably the least "British" of them (because lack of red). I made it before, on a 20mm scale.
The Perry Miniatures kit allows you to make hussars at various periods of the Napoleonic Wars, the difference in these versions is the headgear. I decided to make hussars from 1808-9, in impressively high bearskins, by the way actually interfering with their dimensions in riding.
In addition, I arranged their hands holding sabers in not necessarily regulation poses.

 

Jeden z modeli jest wykonany w momencie spadania bermycy z głowy w wyniku gwałtownego ruszenia z kopyta. Bermyca nie zostanie zgubiona, utrzyma się przy jeźdźcu dzięki przymocowaniu jej kordonami.

One of the models is made when his bearskin falls off head as a result of a sharp hoof movement. Barskin will not be lost, it will stay with the rider by attaching it with cordons.

  

Puściłem wodze fantazji i wykonałem trzy nietypowe maści końskie: deresz, szpak i myszata.
I let my imagination run wild and made three unusual horse coats: roan, apple grey and grulla.

 

Jeźdźcy brytyjscy znani byli ze słabej dyscypliny, jednakże odznaczali się dobrym wyszkoleniem indywidualnym oraz posiadali dobre konie. To ostatnie w warunkach hiszpańskich nie było łatwe.

British riders were known for their poor discipline, however, they had good individual training and had good horses. The latter in Spanish conditions was not easy.

 

  

 

2 pułk piechoty Reina / 2nd Infantry Regiment Reina

 

Na hiszpańskim teatrze działań wojennych nie może oczywiście zabraknąć.. Hiszpanów.

Akurat bracia Perry wypuścili piękne modele piechoty. Z tym, że wśród nich były także modele niekoniecznie umundurowane regulaminowo. Postanowiłem dla urozmaicenia połączyć obie opcje. Inspirujący był też ten obrazek:

Perry's brothers have released beautiful infantry models. With the fact that among them were also models not necessarily uniformed by regulations. I decided to combine both options for variety. This picture was also inspiring:

 

Nabyłem zestawy: SPA 2 i  SPA od 18 do 21.

Poodcinałem i pozamieniałem głowy piechoty regularnej (w bikornach) oraz piechoty nieregulanej. Grenadierów pozostawiłem w niezmienionej postaci, wszak to elita piechoty, mogą zatem i umundurowanie posiadać w lepszej kondycji.
I have purchased sets: SPA 2 and SPA from 18 to 21.
I cut off and swapped the heads of regular infantry (in bicorne) and irregular infantry. I left the Grenadiers unchanged, after all, they are the elite of the infantry, so they can wear uniforms in better condition.

 

  

  

  

  

  

 

Dorobiłem ozdoby zwieńczenia drzewców sztandarów.
I made decorations on the top of flagpoles.

Batalion zrobiłem w kolorach 2 pułku Reina (Królowej) walczącego m.in. pod Bailen, Somosierrą, Talaverą, Ocaną.

I made the battalion in the colors of the 2nd Infantry Regiment Reina (Queen's), fighting among others at Bailen, Somosierra, Talavera, Ocana.

Dobosze nosili barwy typowe dla doboszy, granatowo-czerwone, niezależnie od kolorystyki wyróżników pułkowych. Akurat jednego z doboszy wykonałem w umundurowaniu nieregulaminowym.

Drummers wore colors typical for drummers, blue-red, regardless of the colors of the regimental facings. I made one of the drummers in non-regular uniform.
