1/88th Connaught Rangers

Następnym poczynionym przeze mnie oddziałem w 28mm napoleonce jest 1 batalion 88 pułku piechoty "Connaught Rangers". Wykorzystałem zestawy Victrixa British Peninsular Infantry Centre Companies i British Peninsular Infantry Flank Companies. Zestawy różnią się między sobą jedynie wypustkami na ramionach, które posiadały kompanie wyborcze.

Kolorem wyróżniającym omawianego pułku jest jasnożółty. Prawie połowie żołnierzy batalionu zrobiłem brązowe spodnie. Regulaminowe spodnie - w czasie działań na półwyspie w kolorze białym - szybko ulegały zniszczeniu i brać żołnierska obu stron konfliktu powszechnie zmuszona była stosować rozwiązania doraźne, które dyktowała możliwość i pomysłowość. Zatem indywidualnie, jak i zbiorowo wyposażano się w zamienniki. A że w Hiszpanii było sporo klasztorów z przechowywanym brązowym suknem dla braci klasztornych.... to takie właśnie spodnie wyfasowałem naszemu batalionowi.

Pragnę jeszcze podkreślić miny twarzy modeli Victrixowych - w większości nie są one sympatyczne, nadają charakteru żołnierzom, podobnie jak obfite bokobrody.
