2 pułk piechoty Reina / 2nd Infantry Regiment Reina

 

Na hiszpańskim teatrze działań wojennych nie może oczywiście zabraknąć.. Hiszpanów.

Akurat bracia Perry wypuścili piękne modele piechoty. Z tym, że wśród nich były także modele niekoniecznie umundurowane regulaminowo. Postanowiłem dla urozmaicenia połączyć obie opcje. Inspirujący był też ten obrazek:

Perry's brothers have released beautiful infantry models. With the fact that among them were also models not necessarily uniformed by regulations. I decided to combine both options for variety. This picture was also inspiring:

 

Nabyłem zestawy: SPA 2 i  SPA od 18 do 21.

Poodcinałem i pozamieniałem głowy piechoty regularnej (w bikornach) oraz piechoty nieregulanej. Grenadierów pozostawiłem w niezmienionej postaci, wszak to elita piechoty, mogą zatem i umundurowanie posiadać w lepszej kondycji.
I have purchased sets: SPA 2 and SPA from 18 to 21.
I cut off and swapped the heads of regular infantry (in bicorne) and irregular infantry. I left the Grenadiers unchanged, after all, they are the elite of the infantry, so they can wear uniforms in better condition.

 

  

  

  

  

  

 

Dorobiłem ozdoby zwieńczenia drzewców sztandarów.
I made decorations on the top of flagpoles.

Batalion zrobiłem w kolorach 2 pułku Reina (Królowej) walczącego m.in. pod Bailen, Somosierrą, Talaverą, Ocaną.

I made the battalion in the colors of the 2nd Infantry Regiment Reina (Queen's), fighting among others at Bailen, Somosierra, Talavera, Ocana.

Dobosze nosili barwy typowe dla doboszy, granatowo-czerwone, niezależnie od kolorystyki wyróżników pułkowych. Akurat jednego z doboszy wykonałem w umundurowaniu nieregulaminowym.

Drummers wore colors typical for drummers, blue-red, regardless of the colors of the regimental facings. I made one of the drummers in non-regular uniform.

 
 

 

  
  

 

Francuski batalion - część 3 / French battalion - part 3

Chciałem posiadać oddział francuski, który będzie wyglądał szczególnie odświętnie. Jakby maszerował w bój prosto z parady. Z kitami, bermycami, kordonami. Koniecznie z białymi getrami, najlepiej wysokimi. Dowódca oczywiście na białym koniu.
Nadawał się do tego zestaw Warlorda.
I wanted to have a French unit that will look particularly festive. As if it was marching into battle straight from the parade. With plumes, bearskins, cordons. Necessarily with white gaiters, preferably tall. The commander of course on a white horse.
The Warlord set was good for that.

 

 

Dodałem do zestawu pojedyncze modele woltyżerów i grenadierów oraz oficera, chorążego, dobosza i flecisty z Front Ranka. 

I added to the set few models of voltiguers and grenadiers and an officer, standard bearer, drummer and fifer from Front Rank.

Okazały saper także jest z Front Ranka.

Od razu zrobiłem drugi batalion tego pułku. Trochę mniej świątecznie wygląda, kamasze gdzieniegdzie są już czarne, i niskie. I już w 100% Warlord (no dobra, dobosz woltyżerów jest Victrixowy).
I immediately made the second battalion of this regiment. It looks a bit less festive, the gaiters are black and low here and there. And 100% Warlord (okay, drummer of voltiguers is Victrix).

 

 

II/58th (Rutlandshire) Regiment of Foot

Dosłownie z rozpędu i z pozostałości zrobiłem batalion liniowy. Wyboru jednostki dokonałem wg wyróżnika kolorystycznego - uznałem, że ładny jako pułkowy będzie kolor czarny. Na półwyspie walczyły dwa oddziały z takim wyróżnikiem: dwa bataliony 58 i pierwszy batalion 50 pułku. Wybrałem II/58, gdyż miałem dostęp do wzoru sztandaru tego pułku, i miał najdłuższy staż bojowy. Od razu zrezygnowałem z białych spodni, uznając, że kampania iberyjska potrafiła zweryfikować modę w sposób znaczący. Stąd szarości i brązy.

Na dowódcę przeznaczyłem model od Perrych. Dwa inne modele z tego zestawu występują w  poprzednio wykonanych batalionach. Temu należało dorobić bikorn zamiast czaka, które stosowne było w latach późniejszych. Wymieniłem także rękę z bronią, podobnie, jak dowódcy I/42. Plastikowe głownie nie wyginają się.

I made a line battalion out of momentum and from residue. I chose the unit according to the facings color - I decided that black would be nice as a regimental one. Two units fought on the Peninsula with these facings: two battalions of 58th regiment and the first battalion of the 50th regiment. I chose II/58th because I had access to the colors for this regiment and this unit had the longest combat experience. I immediately gave up white pants, recognizing that the Iberian campaign was able to verify the fashion significantly. So they are greys and browns.
I assigned the model from Perry as the mounted officer. Two other models from this set are found in previously made battalions. Officer in presented unit should have earned some bikorne instead of shako, which was appropriate in later years. I also exchanged a hand with a weapon, as I did it with the I/42nd regt commander. Plastic blades do not bend.

Na bliższe przyjrzenie się zasługuje podoficer, którego wyposażyłem w ciekawą, alternatywną rękę z zestawu Warlorda - ze szpontonem. Tu ustawia szereg, ale wybrałem do tego drugi szereg, gdyż umieszczając tę rękę przed pierwszym szeregiem narażałbym ją na wygięcie czy złamanie.
A non-commissioned officer deserves a closer look, whom I equipped with an interesting, alternative hand from Warlord's set - with a spontoon. Here it sets a row, but I chose the second row for it, because placing this hand in front of the first row would expose it to bending or breaking.

 

Przy okazji chciałbym przedstawić mój osobisty patent na osadzenie sztandaru. Otóż wygląda to tak, że płachta sztandarowa przymocowana do połowy drzewca, jest nasadzona - bez kleju - na drugą połowę drzewca. Rysunek i foty przedstawiają konstrukcję.
By the way, I would like to present my personal patent for embedding the standard. Well, it looks like the flag sheet attached to half of the spar is placed - without glue - on the other half of the spar. The picture and photos show the construction.

 

Istnieją same plusy takiego rozwiązania: 

- zajmowanie mniej miejsca w transporcie,

- mniejsza łamliwość drzewca, brak możliwości skręcenia płachty sztandaru,

- możliwość wymienności sztandaru.
There are only advantages of such a solution:
- taking up less space in transport,
- lower spar brittleness, no possibility to twist the standard sheet,
- exchangeable banner.
